About Hugh
I'm Hugh, a bisexual man married to a wonderful bisexual woman, and a first-time author working on my debut novel.
I have always had a passion for romance in every form: books, movies, TV, music, all of it. The swoony moments, the banter, the friends who meddle, the people who are absolutely wrong for each other until they aren't.
I want to see LGBTQ+ romance treated as normal, the way any love story is. So I write characters who feel like people you could actually know. They're funny, flawed, a little sassy, and never stereotypes. My hope is that every story reads as real and possible.
The Novel
Ryan is a bisexual corporate trainer who knows his time in Dallas won't last. Lily is a family-practice nurse who has spent years being demeaned by the men she dated, and she's finished handing her heart to anyone who might break it.
Their friends bring them together, but is friendship the only thing that blossoms?
It's a slow-burn love story about two people who know better, a friend group trying their best, and the scent of honeysuckle on a warm Texas evening.
"Leaving / Breaking" is a working title. It's about 99% likely to change before publication, so follow along to hear the real one first.
